Four days of artistic events exploring the role of culture in navigating the experience of war, working through trauma, and finding resources for healing.

From 27–30 June, 2026, Lviv hostedt the Arts and Health Congress, bringing together professionals from the healthcare, education, and cultural sectors to explore the role of arts in health and wellbeing.

Healing Arts Ukraine presented a series of artistic events highlighting the vital role of arts and culture in supporting recovery and mental well-being.

From 23–26 June, 2026, the Trauma Attuned Arts School took place as part of Healing Arts Ukraine.

The project will take place in Lviv from 23 to 30 June and will bring together government and international institutions, healthcare professionals, educators, artists, and mental health practitioners working to integrate arts-based approaches into Ukraine’s mental health and psychosocial support systems.

During the meeting, participants discussed how artistic practices can contribute to the psychological recovery of Ukrainian military personnel and civilians.

From July 24 to 26, as part of Healing Arts Lviv, a Congress was held for professionals working at the intersection of art and health.

On July 20–24, Healing Arts Lviv ran a School on Trauma-Informed Art Practices. The five-day program focused on understanding and using the arts as a tool for recovery and healing.

From July 16 to 19, 2025, the Kyiv School of Economics hosted an event that provided a space for critical thought, knowledge exchange, and the development of new connections across cultures, disciplines, and sectors—all aimed at building a just and reflective post-conflict future.

Healing Arts Lviv took over the city from July 20 to 27, 2025, featuring a Trauma-Informed Arts School, a Congress on Arts and Health, and a showcase of projects exploring and transforming experiences of trauma.

An educational initiative empowering young female professionals by blending art, psychology, and medicine.

In 2024, we launched a new initiative to reduce epileptic brain activity and improve the well-being of children living with epilepsy.

An educational retreat designed for cultural professionals who work with art therapy practices and wish to gain more theoretical knowledge and master new tools for working with people affected by the consequences of war.

From June 18 to 22, 2024, the Summer School on Trauma-Informed Art Practices was held at the Kyiv School of Economics, initiated by Art Therapy Force.

From June 18 to June 25, at the invitation of our project, Christopher Bailey, the Head of the “Arts and Health” department at the World Health Organization, visited Ukraine.

The Kids Art Retreat Project was held in Pervomaiskyi from June 19 to 24, 2023, at Pervomaiskyi Lyceum No. 2, a municipal institution under the Pervomaiskyi City Council of the Kharkiv region. The camp welcomed 30 children interested in various forms of creative activities and sports.

Under the guidance of experienced experts from Ukraine and the UK, we organized a week-long daytime art recovery project for IDP children and their parents in Lviv.

From February 9th to 11th, 2024, a theater and music intensive for internally displaced teens took place in Lviv.

The educational event focused on innovative methods of rehabilitation and psycho-emotional recovery for veterans through technology and art took place in Ivano-Frankivsk.

Together with Nigel Osborne, we organized a small festival of holiday songs created by children affected by the war in Ukraine.

The conference, organized by Ivan Kotliarevsky Kharkiv National University of Arts, took place online on the Zoom platform from January 14th to 16th, 2023.

From October to December 2022, Nigel Osborne conducted an open lecture series for artists and psychotherapeutic professionals. Each lecture addressed crucial aspects of the impact of music and rhythm on trauma, methods of work, and the organization of the recovery process.
